Tuesday, October 21, 2025, 4-6 p.m.
Eaton Theater, Knight Hall
The Philip Merrill College of Journalism community is invited to join us for a panel and reception as we honor the winners of our 2025 Maria Ressa Prizes for Courage in Journalism.
The event provides our students, faculty and staff with the opportunity to learn from honorees about the work behind their courageous journalism.
The awards honor Ressa, the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize winner and acclaimed champion of global press freedom, and each of the four comes with a $3,000 cash prize. The Ressa Prizes have been made possible by the generous support of First Look Institute.
